Sepha panicked and shivered at the mention of the word 'bomb' by her mother. She heard the loud explosion which was very near. 'Somebody from the family might have died' she thought . Her body became numb and she was almost choking. Her mother held her right away and scuttled her inside the bedroom. Just then, a knock was heard; her aunty came and cried 'Your uncle hasn't come back yet'. 'Wild Kombereis' is about the clashes between two groups of people, namely -the Dons of the Wild and the Tigers of the Wild-in a place called Kaangleipaak where people panick as the enmity between these groups disrupts the peaceful and tranquil normal lives in the valley. Sepha has seen this disturbance along with others which mar her beautiful childhood with ugly scenes of violence and tortures. In this bizarre situation, she loses her love, Nongpok and also her dignity as a woman-which is a kind of punishment for loving the wild and its heritage.
