With the increase of car ownership rates, traffic volume have exponentially increased over the last few decades. Existing road infrastructure today is often strained nearly to its limits. It is therefore of paramount importance to try to control the flow of traffic in a given infrastructure. This book deals with the graph theoretic aspects of traffic control problems. It considers an isolated traffic intersection as well as the whole traffic network and try to present some powerful abstraction with the help of graph theory. Different graph topologies are also discussed which are of great help to deal with the modern traffic control problems.
