The purpose of this text is to study the welfare state in Brazil between 1930 and 1990. To this end, this monograph is divided into three chapters, plus final considerations. The first chapter discusses the State in class society, the second discusses Keynesianism, and the third chapter deals specifically with the Welfare State.
