Kompletný popis

Recently there has been enormous interest in the field of low-cost circuit fabrication. Producing electronics at costs far below those currently available on the market requires adoption of new materials and processing techniques. This book takes a system-level approach to design by first analyzing the minimum performance requirements for each application then showing how new alternative approaches can meet these requirements at extremely low cost. Antennas for radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags are analyzed in detail, as are active-matrix display backplanes. Ink-jet printing techniques are shown to be extremely useful, especially when combined with aqueous chemical deposition methods. Solutions to the low-cost challenge takes a multidisciplinary approach, incorporating several different fields, and thus this book will benefit electrical engineers, chemists, and material scientists who have an interest in applying their expertise towards a new and exciting field.
