Combining feminist social research with legal studies, Lenore Kuo tackles the difficult issues raised by prostitution in the United States. Informed by the risks, needs, and struggles of female prostitutes, Kuo weighs the benefits of different policy approaches including further criminalization of prostitution, full legalization, and decriminalization.
