Urdčina
The monthly magazine "Saaqi" published by renown Urdu laureate and translator Shahid Ahmad Dehlvi is his prominent identity in Urdu literature. The idiomatic language of Delhi and its chatter are the hallmarks of his style. Shahid Ahmed had power over the Taksali language of Delhi. He wrote two books about Delhi, 'Delhi Ki Bapta' and 'Ujda Diyar', reading which tears comes in the heart of every reader. Selected essays written by him on Delhi's language and culture are included in this book "Phool waloN ki Sair (Flower walk)".

اردو کے صاحب طرز ادیب اور مترجم شاہد احمد دہلوی کا جاری کیا ہوا ماہنامہ "ساقی" اردو ادب میں ان کی نمایاں شناخت ہے۔ دہلی کی بامحاورہ زبان اور اس کا چٹخارہ ان کے اسلوب کا خاصہ ہے۔ دہلی کی ٹکسالی زبان پر شاہد احمد کو قدرت حاصل تھی۔ انہوں نے دہلی کے حوالے سے دو کتابیں 'دہلی کی بپتا' اور 'اجڑا دیار' تحریر کیں، جنہیں پڑھ کر ہر قاری کے دل میں رِقّت طاری ہو جاتی ہے۔ دہلی کے حوالے سے تحریر کردہ ان کے منتخب مضامین اس کتاب میں شامل ہیں۔
