Kompletný popis

Multimodal transport means using two or more transport modes for a trip between which a transfer is necessary and it seems an important approach to solving today's transportation problems with respect to the traffic congestion, road accident and environmental pollution. Increasing in the number of car users in UKM caused many problems. Therefore, in this book the focus is on finding the problem of public transport system in order to improve the state of multimodal trip of international students of UKM. The data collected and demographic details are analysed. For description of the survey data, SPSS is used and logit model is applied. The questionnaire designed based on social or economic preference, trip characteristics and probability of shifting from private vehicles to public transportation mode, and supporting reason to improve public mode of transportation inside and outside the campus as multimodal trip. Based on data analysis, modelling and using sensitivity analysis, it is found that taking parking charge fee and fare reduction of public modes are the main factors in switching international students to use public transportation instead of private vehicles.
