Its importance is not limited to formal §education, but also youth development programs like §the West Virginia 4-H.In this volume, the author §contend that, the importance of global education has §become more relevant in the 21st century due to the §increasing interdependence of the world. As a §result, the author tries to elicit the perceptions §of 4-H Agents, Specialists, and Volunteers in the §state of West Virginia about this important §educational concept and its relevance to the 4-H §program. The volume is partly based on John Dewey s §philosophy of education and environment, but §questions the place of one's environment in a §globally interdependent world. It ends with a §proposed curriculum model based on collaboration, §engagement, and communication.
