This Expanded Edition of Let Us Consider includes all the essays in the original 2020 publication plus nine added essays. The different order of the essays is the result of input from readers.
As with the original publication, the essays of the Expanded Edition are the result of Daryl Sherfey's 2007 near encounter with death, and the realization he had deceived himself and let his life veer off course. He had put off needed change because he had believed he always had tomorrow. That morning in 2007 he realized those tomorrows he had counted on were only an illusion.
Desperate to be done with illusion and deceit, he began a four-year journey of evaluating his life in God's light, openly and honestly, in a public blog. At the request of those who followed his blog, he began emailing his writing to his followers. This book is a collection of those emails. Their purpose is to challenge men to live truthfully in the pursuit of love and good works (1 Timothy 1:15-16).
Join Daryl and his quest for courage to live an open life, sharing the doubt, fear, struggle, and failure we all face on this journey of faith. Only then will God's limitless patience and grace be visible to those living in this hurting world.
"Only a desperate person will seek God with their whole heart and soul. The challenge, then, is to live in this busy, day to day world and remain desperate for God."
