Geophysics emerges as the most robust tool for delineating subsurface structures, providing invaluable insights into seismogenesis when complemented with supplementary seismological datasets and techniques. Collaborative seismo-geophysical investigations have unraveled the intricate mechanisms governing earthquake sources, paths, and site effects. Methods such as seismic and electrical tomography as well as gravity surveys prove particularly instrumental in seismogenesis, mapping sediment thickness and basement/bedrock depth, as well as characterizing subsurface structures like fault lines to facilitate the seismic hazard assessment. Geophysics has assumed a pivotal role in active fault mapping, complementing geological investigations. Moreover, crustal deformation analysis has significantly contributed to this collective understanding. The radon monitoring are the important earthquake precursory tools.
