Despite increased efforts to combat the spread of §HIV/AID, the pandemic continues to ravage §communities across the globe, including in Sub-§Saharan Africa. This has led to increased and §aggressive focus on HIV/AIDS intervention §programmes. UNESCO, in their attempt to intensify §HIV/AIDS intervention efforts, sought to promote §scientific co-operation and to strengthen capacities §of higher education institutes to produce and §disseminate research and information related to §HIV/AIDS. This book takes a closer look at a §University HIV/AIDS programme that is aimed at §training HIV/AIDS counsellors. Kirkpatrick''s model §of evaluating training programmes is used to explore §the programme''s curriculum, methods of teaching and §benefits to the programme participants. This §analysis should assist HIV/AIDS programme developers §on requirements for successful HIV/AIDS intervention §programmes.
