Jennifer, a young girl that loses her life while riding on Sonny. Big Jim, Jennifer's bereaved father, who has an emotional breakdown and almost destroys himself. Wendy, a young woman rancher who has taken over the responsibility of the Lazy K ranch. Gramps, Wendy's grandfather.
