Mögliche Einflüsse elektromagnetischer Strahlung auf den Menschen sind zur Zeit ein in der Öffentlichkeit heiß diskutiertes Thema. Um diese Effekte abschätzen zu können, muß man zunächst u. a. die Beeinflussung chemischer und biologischer Reaktionen durch Magnetfelder verstehen. Ergebnisse theoretisch und experimentell angelegter Forschungsarbeiten faßt dieser Band zusammen; Schwerpunkte sind beispielsweise Einflüsse von Magnetfeldern auf die Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit, chemisch induzierte dynamische Elektronen- und Kernpolarisation sowie die Löschung der Fluoreszenz von Gasen durch Magnetfelder.
