The Doodle Circle is an interactive fill-in journal meant to help BFFs capture that special slice of youth and document the tight bond they share. This girl-focused, interactive journal is a collaborative round-robin fill-in book, intended to encourage girls' creativity and camaraderie. Full of prompts, lists, collage ideas and art journaling jumpstarts, girls will be encouraged to create artwork together, "discovering" themselves and each other through their inner creative doodleness. But best of all, the journal is set up so that each girl has her own copy, which she will pass around amongst her doodle circle sisters. A section in the front of the book will be all about the girl who owns that copy. She'll not only fill in a few prompts about herself, but her friends can take turns writing and doodling specifically about her, focusing on what makes her special as well as her quirks and contributions to the group (and she'll do the same thing in her friends' copies of the book). The following section will be full of colourful, vibrant prompts with pages for the girls to fill in together. As always, Sokol will provide friendly guidance on the best tools and techniques for doodling and collaging. Tips throughout will give the girls ideas for how to "share" the book, and some spreads will be specifically dedicated to teaching the girls how to open up the friend circle and allow other girls into the group. When the book is done, the girls will all have a special memento of their friendship as well as words of love and praise that will remind them how amazing they are as they go through this fun-filled (yet decidedly insecure) time of life.
