Lifetime data are often collected with high censoring to save time and cost. An important issue in life-testing applications for industrial engineering is how to develop a control chart for monitoring the mean lifetime of products under censoring. This study is designed to deal with type I censored data using the statistical quality tools. The EWMA, CUSUM and Shewhart control charts have been modified for dealing with type I censored data.
