Wayne dreamed of piloting a thirty-foot-tall walking robot that was closer to a battle-tank than anything else.

They were armed with laser cannons, rockets, missiles, and heavy kinetic weapons more similar to artillery pieces than guns, and everything that went with that.
Unfortunately, he had been declined military service.
His only avenue left to become a Walker Pilot was to make it happen all on his own.
And he did just that.
He became a true Cavalier, was wounded, gained squad mates, founded the House of Hesh, married the princess, and saved the day.
Now, the universe is shifting. Faster than Wayne can even keep up with.
While the Confed is expanding, there's a curtain being forcefully drawn back. Revealing that the war, and in fact the truth of the Confed and Blood, is far more extensive than Wayne ever knew.
Old secrets are coming back into the light.
As well as enemies.
Somehow Wayne is already managing to put himself front and center for it. Both as a spectator...
