The IEEE 802.11 based wireless mesh network is the promising technology to provide wireless broadband Internet connectivity to the wireless users. The user performance majorly depends on the access point with which he/she is associated with and hence the access point selection problem is considered as critical in the context of WMN. This research work is focused on the problem of how to select the best access point that provides the best quality of service to the user.
